The Castle was once a Goa'uld outpost on which was at some time taken over by the Tau'ri of Stargate Command to become a prison colony which would house the Tau'ri's most dangerous prisoners; who were considered to be too dangerous to be kept on Earth. Sometime after its creation, however, the Human inmates managed to stage a successful rebellion and took over The Castle, becoming the Op-Core. After this event, the Op-Core started running their own Stargate program from with The Castle itself.

With the Op-Core currently in control of the Prison, many new Praxis members escaping the dark corridors of the huge building should beware - many SGU do NOT want you to leave, and will stop you by any means necessary.

[edit] What To Expect

The Castle is a beginner zone for all Op-Core players. The initial few hours or so see you understanding how the Archetype / Race plays, learning the tricks of the trade etc. Outside (and various areas inside) see players experience mass fire fights and single target drone action.

[edit] Places of Note

[edit] Instanced zone :

This is the beginning area for OP-Core humans. This zone will teach you how to play the game. Quests in this zone will have some bearing on future events. You will also be able to do your first mini game which is to hack a computer and release a Goa'uld from prison. The instanced section of The Castle has being estimated to take 20-30 minutes. Mobs in this area would be SGU drones and cellblock guard.[1]

[edit] Non-instanced zone :

After you finished the solo instanced zone you continue on with your quest to escape the castle. This zone will appear to be partly inside as you fight your way through the SGC guards and drones. Then you make it outside for one last push to safety. Mobs in this area will be SGU drones and guards.[2]
