Current Game Phase
From Stargate Worlds Wiki
Stargate Worlds is in the Closed Beta phase of development. In this stage the purpose is to test all of the aspects of the game to ensure that all systems operate as they should. The testers will have to agree to an NDA, though exactly what will be restricted is not known. For more questions such as "How do I get into the beta?" see the Frequently Asked BETA Questions thread.

[edit] The Phases
Legend := Phase completed/on going.
= Phase not begun/completed.
Below is a list of the completed phases of the game.
[edit]
Alpha 1
The "friends and family" initial first test. The families/friends/sometimes lucky contributors, get to preview the game in its raw state.
[edit]
Alpha 2
This phase of Alpha allows alot more people that are either close friends/family/trusted members of the public to check the game out. Test it in a much greater environment and capability than previously.
[edit]
Closed Beta 1
Similar to the previous Alpha stage, Beta 1 allows far more people in to test the game, with a far superior system in place. Alot of new features will have been added/tested out.
[edit]
Closed Beta 2
A possible pre public beta 'might' be announced. Reasoning for this could be that due to the huge time difference between the first beta and now, there may be a need to do a quick test run with fewer people to make sure it is indeed ready for the majority of the public to see.
[edit]
Open Beta
This phase's purpose is usually to stress test the servers and open to anyone. Sometimes there is a limit to the amount of players allowed.
[edit]
Focus Beta
Generally known as a last minute 'stress test' allowing mass amount of people in to test server stability, max limits etc and the hopeful use of maximum graphics / settings to see how everything holds up.
Note : Not all companies use Focus Beta. CME or anyone connected to SGW hasn't confirmed or denied that there will be one.
[edit]
Release
Just that! This is the day we've all been waiting for! The game should be more or less complete. Sometimes release dates are different for different countries.
